  Located on the eastern edge of the Piedmont Plateau, the Triangle is in the center of North Carolina and is about three hours from the coast and the mountains. People choose to live in the Triangle for many reasons including our scenic communities, business growth, quaint residential areas, plentiful shopping, and mild climate.

The Triangle is formed by Raleigh , Durham and Chapel Hill . The majority of the population is distributed among these three urban areas and each are within 35 minutes of each other. Other communities, including Cary and surrounding suburbs , also add to the diversity of the Triangle.

Our community is consistently ranked as one of the best metropolitan areas in the country for quality of life and work. We are home to Research Triangle Park (RTP), and three major universities, including: The University of North Carolina, Duke University, and North Carolina State University.
