By becoming a member of the Associates, you will help preserve one of the North Carolina's most important assets: its heritage. The Associates make it possible for the North Carolina Museum of History to become known as the museum that goes to the people through hundreds of educational programs for children and adults all across North Carolina. The Associates are especially pleased to have funded an educational resource for middle schools in all 100 counties since 1983. The 2004 educational resource - a guide book to the museum's exhibits, tours and outreach programs - is being sent to 8,000 teachers of fourth and eight graders throughout every county in North Carolina. It is also being sent to individuals and groups upon request. Your membership dues also help finance major exhibitions such as "Pioneers of Aviation," scheduled to open in July of 2003.

Your membership also brings special privileges including: discounts at the Museum Shop, opportunities to participate in history related trips and tours, special invitations to new exhibits, immediate access to the nationwide network of History Museums and Historic Institutions across the nation Time Traveler's Network and other events.
